Mi casa su casa: Bedroom
This is the bedroom in my house in Los Angeles. I just wanted simple, Zen-like pieces to create a relaxing escape. I built the platform bed out of oak, and those are my El Jardin bed linens from Sears on it. Even though the bedroom is part of the second-floor addition, the previous owner took the time to search out old windows that match the original casements downstairs. It’s the kind of attention to detail I really appreciate. I would have normally relished the challenge of a fixer-upper, but with my crazy travel schedule these days it was nice to find a place that was finished and close to how I would have liked to do it myself. It is very generous of you to show you private room like that. Beautiful bedframe (seems like two could fit cozily) and great colour-coordination as always. I have been in an “avoid all black – strive for white”-phase myself, but that is of of course because I am Yin, waiting for my Yang.

Really nice job on the bed! I have never slept on a frame like that,seems like it would be uncomfortable,but I love the look. I really like those windows too…ahh,fresh air! Interesting wall art too! Have any salt lamps around? Looks very clean with a woodsy feel,so nice! Thanks for this! Now, will you share the bathroom too? heh heh!

It’s so bright and peaceful feeling. But I will still like my bedroom to be a purple. Do I see an iPod? Got to have relaxing music on

Wow I love the colors. I am a big fan of natural lighting. I love the windows. They really bring in the light. The room looks so relaxing. Perfect place to crash after being on the road for weeks. There are two families in our town of Prospect Park, Pa Interboro Highschool- Two lives -Young Beautiful girls( Vanessa Dorwart and Gina Gentile) were taken via suicide at Norwood train station on the 25th of February. No, I didn’t enjoy it. The reason is it looks wonderful. I can honostly say I am jealous. I can’t wait to have a bedroom. Ty, I love your ideas. Keep making the shows and I will know how to build from the ground up. Getting the money to do it is another thing altogether. Thanks.

hi tylove the beedroom and i love the back yard..i have tryed todo something similar over here in the uk for myson as he is adha and aspergers autizum.it is very hard trying to find the best thing for him….he would like to have alot of little lights but i wouldnt know where to begin have you and ideas to make his bedroom more peacefull for him….maybe he will sleep better then lol..
I have a pair of Ty Pennington Style sheets I purchased a couple of years ago that are my husban’t favorite. I have looked everywhere for the same type of fabric to no avail. The tag only says they are wrinkle free and the only number of any kind is RN15099. They are super soft, yet thin with a shiny finish. The acutal pair I purchased are white with light/pale green lines resembling veins or tree limbs. Please help me find something similar before I fill up my closet with any more unwanted sheet sets!
